A hand-drawn tribute to Lelouch vi Britannia, calm gaze, raised hand, and that unmistakable strategist’s poise. I sketched this during my nomad travels, leaning into manga cross-hatching and halftone textures to keep the portrait raw, focused, and timeless. Part of my Sketch Series, where I capture favorite characters with a minimalist, black-ink aesthetic made for real rooms.
Story behind the sketch
I wanted the moment before the command: quiet intensity rather than action. The lines stay loose and human, like notes from the road, so the piece reads graphic from a distance and detailed up close.
